It’s getting worse with climate change

Whilst facial eczema is viewed mainly as an Aotearoa New Zealand problem, it is recognised in other farming countries as an increasing cause for concern.  And it is predicted to worsen with climate change.  Tokaora Diagnostics is proud to be working towards a big step forward in the diagnosis and management of this disease.

Less impact from facial eczema, means higher production without increasing inputs and outputs.  And that’s a challenge that needs to be met by all primary producing nations.

Our proof of concept project is on schedule and producing promising results.  Frey is working in the Callaghan Innovation Gracefield Lab in Lower Hutt doing what he loves best – science and research.

Helping us along the way is the team from Sprout – New Zealand’s leading agrifoodtech accelerator and investor.  Along with the other innovators in our cohort, we were selected from over 60 applications following a pitch to the Sprout team – an amazing group of professionals in the agrifoodtech sector.  The access to industry knowledge is invaluable and we are fortunate to once again team up with Bridgit Hawkins as our mentor.
